Real Weddings

Singing, musicians, running water,

WOW. What two_soonan incredible wedding for Zack and Jen. The ceremony was held on the lawn of the Red Lion Restaurant up the Boulder Canyon.  It was so wonderful that guests were able to enjoy the outdoor ceremony without being blinded or baked by the afternoon sun.

During the ceremony we were treated to Zack's mom, Trish, singing a beautiful rendition of There You Are.  Zack; his father, Dan; and his cousin, Brian, also played their guitars and sang at various times during the service.  Jen's uncle Ron, was the officiant.  He was wonderful; blending the seriousness of marriage with just the right amount of humor.  Her tia (aunt), Lisa gave a poignant reading and when Jen shared her vows, everyone was in tears.

The grand entrance was so much fun as I was able to share with their guests a little information about each of their attendants and why Zack and Jen had chosen them.  During the reception everyone viewed a DVD slide show that we had put together using pictures supplied by Trish and Michelle, (Jen's mother).  Instead of a music bed we put in audio recordings from Trish, Michelle, and Christina (the absolute best maid of honor I have ever had the pleasure to work with).  The show finished with a video recording of Zack sharing why he loves Jen.  It was awesome.  These two love each other so much.  Scott and I were truly blessed to be a part of their wedding day.  To see more photos of this great couple visit our Facebook page, Solid Sound Entertainment.

The Trooper and The Doctor

Thank You TestimonialIt was certainly a warm day at Wild Lane Bed and Breakfast on June 5.  But the tent from Front Range Event Rentals was huge and offered plenty of shade.  Derek and Nikki made sure that ice cold water was available and the 5:00 PM ceremony went off without a hitch.

Dinner featured a garden salad with a yummy balsamic vinaigrette dressing that didn't really taste vinaigrette if you know what I mean.  The main course from Greenspoint Catering included a wild mushroom risotto and chicken marsala.  Just after the toasts and cake cutting Nikki and Derek were presented with their love story which included audio clips from family members.  The guests laughed and the ending had Nikki's eyes glistening.  It was the perfect lead into their bridal dance.

We really enjoyed helping them celebrate and they both have absolutely fantastic families.

What makes a man cry?

Scott is not a DJ that cries; however, he freely admits that his eyes got moist at Mike and Dina Zanotti's wedding ceremony.  After Dina and Mike exchanged rings Dina also gave a ring to Mike's daughter, Meredith.  Scott's eyes got even wetter when he played a recording from Dina's mother who had passed away and was unable to be at the wedding.

Truly, our love and caring for each other is what makes a marriage, makes a family.  After the Estes Park wedding ceremony at the Twin Owls Steakhouse Pavillion, the guests moved into the Garden Room for dining and dancing.  It was a small, intimate, destination wedding filled with joy and happiness.  One thing you can be sure of, when you have 29 people celebrating your wedding day with relish, you have a great group of friends and a pretty awesome DJ.

Dina and Mike, thank you for giving us the honor of being your wedding entertainment.

Trish and Bill

Wedding couple at Stanley Hotel in Estes Park CO

Ivory and Heather.  The Pinon Room at the Stanley was understated elegance for Bill and Trish's wedding on May 15, 2010.  Candace (the talented and very nice coordinator at the Stanley) did a superb job of keeping everything on schedule and well organized.  I have to say, I have been to many venues that claim to have a wedding coordinator on staff who turns out to be nothing more than an order taker who doesn't even show up at the wedding.  Not so with Candace.  She is wonderful

Wendy Ishi provided the ceremony service in the Music Room with Scott providing some Acoustic Eidolon that Trish wanted.  I wasn't actually in the room but it must have been a great ceremony because in the room next door we heard lots of clapping and laughter throughout the service.

I am going to get pics up as soon as I can because you have got to see the dress Trish was wearing.  She looked great in it.  I love when a bride selects a dress that really compliments her figure.

Photography was by the Aaron from Cathcart Photography.  I love working with Aaron and Steve.  They are friendly people that get great photos because they just naturally make you smile and feel comfortable.  Not an easy task when you are getting wedding photos taken.  By the way, I took this photo, not Aaron.  He does a much better job.

Christina and Cory have a reception for friends

Christina & Cory had their ceremony in Mexico and had a reception for their family and friends, that could not attend the ceremony, at the Garden Room in Loveland. The hall was decorated with beautiful candles and two candleabras were at the front of the stage overlooking the dancefloor. A DVD of the ceremony was played during dinner for those guests who could not make it to Mexico. The evening meal was provided by Johnny Carinos restaurant and a cake provide by Schmidt’s bakery. Christina’s daughters Katherine and Madeline had a great time running up and down the stage and all over the dance floor. Everyone had a great time and Christina danced to just about everything that was played. The old-school & hip-hop was a huge hit as well as some current urban hits.

Snow started falling at the onset of the reception and continued long after the event ended. Everything always looks nice after a snow, Peaceful and quiet.
