The Nearly Wed Game
The rehearsal is finished and now it's time for some fun. The stage is set. It's the bride's family vs the groom's family vs the wedding party. The Game Host asks the first question...
When the bride and groom met, who made the first move?
All three teams frantically push their buttons. The computer knows knows which team was fastest. We listen to their answer. Where they correct? Was it really the bride? Yes, it was and the groom's team wins a point!
It's Game Show Mania, similar to Family Feud or Jeopardy; but designed to help both families get to know each other better and for everyone to have fun.
This game can also be done at the reception if you believe your guests would enjoy watching the antics of your family and friends as they compete to see who knows the two of you the best.
The Recently Wed Game
How well do you know your new partner? Who is the better cook? Which one of you will hog the covers tonight? The Recently Wed Game is a light-hearted way for you and your guests to share a little fun that doesn't require dancing.
You are seated with your backs to each other. Each of you holding a white teddy bear and a brown teddy bear. If the answer to the question is the bride, then hold up the white teddy bear. If the groom, hold up the brown teddy bear. You may be surprised how often your guests will shout out the answers from their tables before either of you has a chance to raise a bear. The game typically has 12 to 15 questions and is designed to be at a comfort level for both you and your families.
Make your own Game
Some of our couples like to come up with their own ideas for fun things to do at their wedding. For example, one couple actually had a bar style trivia game with each table compteting against the other tables. The bride and groom came up with a series of questions and answers about themselves. The table with the most correct answers won small gag gifts.
